HONG KONG – 3 September 2026 – Phillips will present an exceptional selection of fine jewels at The Hong Kong Jewels Auction on 29 September, showcasing a diverse offering of coloured gemstones, diamonds, jadeite, and signed creations from the world's most celebrated jewellery houses. Leading the sale is a 9.86-carat cushion-shaped Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring, alongside exceptional Colombian emeralds and Mozambican rubies. Additional highlights include vivid coloured diamonds, a rare Brazilian alexandrite chrysoberyl, a Ceylon padparadscha sapphire, natural Burmese jadeite, and iconic jewels by Cartier, Harry Winston, Bulgari and Tiffany & Co. Together, these offerings showcase the depth of today’s jewellery market and present compelling opportunities for collectors across categories. Complementing the live auction, Hong Kong Jewels: Online Auction will be open for bidding from 22–30 September.

Precious Coloured Gemstones

 

Leading the sale is a 9.86-carat unheated Kashmir sapphire and diamond ring displaying the coveted velvety blue colour for which Kashmir sapphires are renowned. Examples of this quality are seldom seen at auction, making it a particularly notable offering. Complementing this is a 13.82-carat unheated Burmese sapphire and diamond ring, distinguished by its rich colour and superior clarity.

 

Among the emerald highlights is a 5.16-carat Colombian no-oil emerald and diamond ring designed as a ribbon bow and pavé-set with oval and brilliant-cut diamonds. Further enriching the offering is a versatile floral jewel centred on a 50.93-carat step-cut emerald, accented with diamonds, tsavorite garnets, and carved rock crystal, and designed to be worn as a pendant necklace, brooch, or ring.

 

Another standout coloured gemstone is a 6.06-carat unheated Mozambican ruby and diamond ring, showcasing the rich colour and transparency highly prized by collectors.

 

Iconic Signed Jewels

 

With provenance tracing to notable American collectors May Bonfils Stanton and Janice H. Levin, the present pair of Harry Winston ruby and diamond ear clips is among the signed highlights of the sale. Featuring exceptionally well-matched rubies of vivid red colour, the jewel exemplifies the house's renowned craftsmanship and enduring elegance. The design captures the glamour and sophistication of the 1950s while retaining a timeless elegance that remains effortlessly wearable today.

 

Another iconic signed jewel in this season’s sale is Tiffany & Co.’s Bird on a Rock brooch, one of Jean Schlumberger’s most celebrated designs. Introduced in 1965, the enduring motif is represented here by an aquamarine, whose luminous blue hue reflects growing collector appreciation for distinctive coloured gemstones. Combining Schlumberger’s imaginative artistry with Tiffany & Co.’s renowned craftsmanship, the brooch remains a timeless design that continues to captivate collectors across generations.

 

A captivating interpretation of Cartier's iconic Panthère motif, this elegant pair of earrings depicts two finely sculpted panthers with articulated legs, pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds and accented by signature onyx spots. Emerald eyes lend a vivid touch of colour, bringing the feline figures to life. It embodies the Maison's enduring mastery of craftsmanship, creativity and timeless elegance.

 

Dazzling Diamonds

 

Led by a pair of diamond earrings set with oval diamonds weighing 7.02 and 7.04 carats respectively, each distinguished by excellent polish and symmetry. Also featured is a remarkable 23.34-carat Fancy Intense Yellow diamond ring, showcasing the vibrant colour and exceptional brilliance. Further highlights include a pair of earrings set with Fancy Brown-Yellow diamonds weighing 12.55 and 12.56 carats. Rare, perfectly matched pair for this size, whose warm, distinctive hues are complemented by elegant diamond-set mounts, demonstrating the enduring appeal and diversity of the coloured diamond market.

 

Other Highlights

 

Also among the highlights is a 7.45-carat Brazilian alexandrite chrysoberyl and diamond ring. Renowned for its rarity and extraordinary colour-change effect, alexandrite chrysoberyl remains one of the most coveted gemstones among collectors, and stones of this impressive size are highly sought after.

 

Further highlights include a 10.17-carat Ceylon padparadscha sapphire and diamond ring of alluring colour and excellent brilliance, a 9.17-carat Burmese spinel and diamond ring displaying vibrant colour and excellent brilliance, a distinctive spinel and diamond ring set with two fancy-shaped spinels weighing 2.93 and 3.35 carats respectively, and a natural Burmese jadeite and diamond ring featuring a jadeite cabochon of vivid emerald-green colour and high translucency.
