Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond and Diamond Toi et Moi Ring
Sold for $254,000
Cristina Rodrigo, Specialist and Head of Sale, Jewels, New York, said, “The New York Jewels Auction saw a great deal of participation from across the globe, leading to strong prices for important pieces spanning style and price points. Leading the auction was a Fancy Vivid Yellow Diamond and Diamond Toi et Moi Ring, an exquisite example from the colored diamonds category, which led the sale overall with an 88% sell-through rate. Colored gemstones also produced strong results, bringing in the largest portion of the sale value—nearly half of the total sale price. Signed jewels sold the most lots by category, led by the René Boivin Aquamarine Demi-Parure, circa 1950, which sold for $146,050, while bidders showed interest in signed classic designs by other important makers, including Bulgari, Cartier, and Suzanne Belperron. As Phillips concludes its 2024 season, we wish our community of collectors a wonderful holiday season and look forward to welcoming them back to our salerooms in the new year.”
