HONG KONG – 30 September 2025 – Phillips concluded its Hong Kong Jewels Auction on 30 September at the company’s Asia headquarters in the West Kowloon Cultural District. The sale achieved a total of HK$42.23 million/ US$5.42 million, with 71% of the 95 lots sold (Sale Total: HK$42,234,600/ US$5,427,146). Nearly half of the lots offered benefited from Priority Bidding—Phillips’ first-of-its-kind Buyer’s Premium structure, which rewards early participation with lower rates.
Benoît Repellin, Worldwide Head of Jewellery, and Diana Chang, Head of Sale, Hong Kong, Phillips Jewels, said, “This season’s results reaffirm the strong demand for exceptional coloured gemstones, with emeralds and rubies leading the top lots. Collectors continue to pursue these treasures with enthusiasm, underscoring their enduring value and rarity. Strong results were achieved for diamonds and coloured diamonds, with 82% of the lots sold. Jadeite once again performed impressively in our Hong Kong auctions, continuing the trend from previous seasons, achieving a 92% sell-through rate and many lots surpassing their pre-sale estimates. The sale further highlighted robust market demand for signed pieces, with 90% of the lots offered finding buyers. Cindy Chao’s ‘Ribbon Collection’ and iconic creations by Cartier, Piaget, Tiffany & Co., and Harry Winston all performed strongly. We look forward to welcoming collectors and enthusiasts to participate in the ongoing Hong Kong Jewels Online Auction and the upcoming Geneva Jewels Auction in November, which will feature ‘The Vanderbilt Family Jewels,’ an extraordinary collection of Belle Époque treasures.”
