NEW YORK - 3 JUNE 2019 – Phillips Perpetual, the recently launched initiative of the auction house’s Watches Department, is pleased to announce an upcoming private selling exhibition in Canada. Phillips’ team of specialists will be on site at The Ritz-Carlton Montréal from 7-9 June, where they will offer the public an impressive selection of vintage and modern timepieces in celebration of the Formula One race weekend.

 

Paul Boutros, Phillips’ Head of Watches, Americas, said, “The Formula 1 Pirelli Grand Prix du Canada is amongst the most highly anticipated events of the year for motorsport fans in North America. We are delighted to have the opportunity to work with The Ritz-Carlton Montréal in showcasing these exceptional collectors’ watches from the world’s leading brands. Our exhibition will offer watches by Rolex, Omega, and Heuer, among others, at a variety of price points. We invite those in town for these 72 remarkable hours, from established connoisseurs to emerging watch enthusiasts, to join us as we celebrate one of the biggest motorsport events of the year.” 

 

Perpetual, which was recently announced by Phillips, is a first of its kind platform that will have a dedicated gallery at Phillips’ London headquarters in July before eventually expanding to New York and Hong Kong.  The concept will present the finest collectors’ timepieces in custom-built surroundings alongside ongoing curated programming, private selling exhibitions, and innovative partnerships, coupled with an evolving selection of watches for private sale. The fine watches on offer during the Phillips Perpetual exhibition at the Ritz-Carlton Montréal will be available for purchase with prices beginning at approx. CAD $13,500 / US $10,000.
