LONDON - 14 JULY 2021 – Phillips is pleased to announce highlights from the third edition of HEATWAVE, a cross category online only sale on Phillips.com. Comprising 76 lots HEATWAVE presents a curated selection of works from some of the most sought after emerging and established contemporary artists. Leading the sale is Dancing Figure VII which was painted in 2018 by U.K.-born, New York–based Tunji Adeniyi-Jones. A young contemporary artist, Adeniyi-Jones’ has received resounding international acclaim following solo shows in New York, London and Los Angeles and his work resides in institutional collections including the Dallas Museum of Art. Further highlights include works from Paul Jenkins, Robin F. Williams, Chloe Wise, Claes Oldenburg, Eddie Martinez, and Nino Migliori. Highlighting amongst the ceramics to feature in this sale is a unique work from Shio Kusaka, as well as ceramics from Bernard Leach and Shōji Hamada, both of which come to auction from the collection of Sir Alec and Lady Guinness. HEATWAVE is now online and highlights are on view at Phillips’ galleries on Berkeley Square in London until 22 July.
