Phillips is pleased to present an online auction from 8-11 March offering works from the Lil’ Heroes NFT collection by Spanish contemporary artist Edgar Plans made in collaboration with Curatible. One of the hottest NFT collections launched recently, Lil’ Heroes has generated huge interest in the NFT community. The highly anticipated online auction will present 5 NFTs from the collection, as well as a unique one-off NFT accompanied by a physical artwork on paper. Bidding for each NFT starts at HK$1,000, and the proceeds of the 1/1 NFT will be donated by the artist to Save the Children.
About Edgar Plans
A painter from a very young age, Edgar Plans delivers pure artistic expression in childlike art pieces. He creates vivid doodles adorned with his signature Animal Heroes, recalling the stylistic features of works by Jean-Michel Basquiat and Cy Twombly. The artist has listed graffiti, street art, comic books, illustrations, and animated films as major influences on his oeuvre. Plans’ signature character, Artist Hero, represents youths’ cheeky, playful and bold way of living that the artist never gave up on; they are always ready for new adventures. The Lil’ Heroes collection depicts the mouse-eared minimalist mischievous characters dressed in a huge variety of unique hand-drawn attributes. Innocent as they may seem, Lil’ Heroes are a vessel to raise awareness on heavy, socio-political issues such as gender violence, racism and climate change.
