The present and following four lots were stage props in the Opera de Lausanne's production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's dramatic opear "Lucio Silla" in 2000.  The set was designed by Mattia Bonetti, the costumes by Adeline Andre and the production was directed by Jean-Marc Bory.  The plot of "Lucio Silla" is fiction but the story revolves around the historical Roman dictator Lucius Cornelius Sulla.  This opera is considered to be musically the finest work Mozart wrote in Italy.
