    Vuokola’s work is characterized by the subtle directing of the gaze. In 'The Seventh Wave' Series the parallel nature of two almost similar images has the effect that the viewer’s gaze not only begins to make its way inside the picture to seek meanings from within but also begins to shuttle between the images.

Each 100 x 100 cm. (39 3/8 x 39 3/8 in); 100 x 200 cm. (39 3/8 x 78 3/4 in) overall.
One signed in ink, printed title, date and number AP on a label affixed to the reverse of the flush-mount. AP from an edition of 3 plus 1 artist's proof.
