Established in 1892, Marcus & Co. is one of the most important American jewelry firms of the 20st century. Recognized for their masterful use of enamel, chased gold, and colored stones, lot 31 is a superlative example of Marcus & Co.’s exemplary craftmanship. A true Arts & Crafts period piece, this necklace combines luscious Colombian emerald cabochons set in exquisitely chased yellow gold, and vibrant green enamel throughout. The pendant watch, with a beautiful guilloche dial, can be removed and worn on the lapel.
