    When the Wiener Werkstätte officially registered in May 1903, as Janis Staggs has written, the firm comprised six members: Josef Hoffmann, Koloman Moser, Fritz Waerndorfer, metalworkers Konrad Koch and Konrad Schindel, and silversmith Karl Kallert, who executed the present lot.
