  • Catalogue Essay

A trained painter and graphic designer, Fulvio Bianconi began working in glass in 1947.  His distinct style is recognizable for its painterly treatment of colors, layering, and texture.  The four offered lots exhibit Bianconi’s tendency to envision the glass as a canvas, creating works of abstract art with bold graphic quality, and transforming a decorative object into fine art.
