  • Catalogue Essay

I am not scared of big formats. I worked and I studied to be a stage designer and painted 20 m decorations. I'm not afraid to spoil and throw out canvas. To me, size is a big field of color, a big space. I love big formats, it is emotional, like the nature around us. I just don't get it why people must put a wall into a format. I often take big paintings as photo wallpaper. They alone are the background. It will take muc htime, many more years to prove—this is what I'm probably doing... (ed. Collection Gallery, Alexander Gnilitsky (quoted), Bloomsday '08 Ideal Century, Kiev, 2008, p. 50)
