Yung Jake’s new series of computer drawings debuted in May 2014, marking a divergence from his earlier practice, which consisted of HTML5 interactive music videos, rap songs, and online performances. The new drawings show a computer cursor scrolling over a white screen, hovering over an empty canvas without leaving a trace. As the cursor floats up and down the monitor, the eye starts to suggest a pattern. Yung Jake draws the lines; the viewer colors them in. (Text by Paddles ON! curator Lindsay Howard)
