  • Description

Legendary graffiti artist Josh Franklin, a.k.a. Stash, became famous for his painting in the 1980s and by the 1990s he had begun to bring his inimitable style to streetwear including sneakers. In 2003, Stash had the opportunity to do an exhibition at the famed Paris boutique Colette “Tools of the Trade: Product Division” explored the synergism across all of Stash’s creations, from unique artworks to collaborations with major brands. For the exhibition, he collaborated with Nike to create fifty Tools of the Trade SB Dunks. These sneakers feature classic hallmarks of Stash’s work such as the simulation of spray paint dripping down the uppers as well as his graffiti logo.
