"I'm interested in how the ways in which we navigate information and images on the Internet affects how we interact with objects and ideas in the real world.” - MAJED ASLAM

Majed Aslam's inkjet prints begin as images sourced from his phone or Internet searches. Aslam imparts gesture by applying strokes of acetone, disrupting the image's surface, leaving behind residue and creating a sense of loss. The resulting work is not quite a photograph and not quite a painting, though it contains essential qualities of both mediums. (Text by Paddles ON! curator Lindsay Howard)
