  • Catalogue Essay

"The whole session, publicity shots for a film to be shot at the height of the scandal with British MP John Profumo, took less than 45 minutes. Three rolls were shot, and for the first two Christine wore a sleeveless leather jerkin. The nude poses were the suggestion of the film company, whose representatives were present, and Christine was very reluctant to do them. After a short discussion which resulted in a cleared studio, I rapidly shot off one roll of film with Christine posing nude on the chair. Eleven frames were exposed - the first one misfired - and it was all over in five minutes. The rest is history."
