  • Catalogue Essay

Another artist hailing from the post-Dansekhwa movement, while retaining a similar creative philosophy as their predecessors such as Lee Ufan and Park Seo-Bo, Kim Taek Sang brings upon a meditative quality in his works through a newfound technique of pouring a mixture of water and acrylic over the canvas and allowing it to sink into the canvas by gravity and to dry in the natural air. His subtle yet beautifully luminous colour palette brings upon a sense of peace and harmony.
