  • Catalogue Essay

One of the most significant post-Dansekhwa artists, Nam Tchun Mo sets himself apart from his predecessors through his masterly technique of combining three dimensional elements with the two dimensional. Through the repetition of simple lines in natural oriental colours, rendered dynamically and rhythmically and using traditional ink and hand-dyed fabric, he creates works that skilfully break down boundaries between painting and sculpture where light and shade collide.
