“My work is often about accidental rhythms, or finding beauty in daft moments.” - HANNAH PERRY

Hannah Perry is well known for her video artworks, which are created by processing personal videos from her iPhone through a VHS player or data compression in order to compromise the image quality. Her newer sculptures, including I was moved (on the bonnet) #2, are intimately connected with the videos, allowing her to explore similar subject matter in concrete form. The sculptures are made of aluminum and covered with screenprints and vinyl paint that is most frequently used to decorate racing cars. The aluminum is crunched, bringing to mind the hood of a car that has experienced a crash, covered in blue and purple paint that quietly drip around a single word: “move”.
