At Phillips Watches, our passion for fine timepieces is matched only by our enthusiasm for extraordinary automobiles. Yes, you read that right—watches aren’t the only things that fuel our excitement around the office.

It’s rare, though, to come across something that perfectly merges our love for both worlds. That’s why we couldn’t resist spotlighting a truly special discovery during one of our regular dives into global car news and listings.

Enter the one-of-a-kind Bentley Arnage T, delivered in 2005 as a tribute to the memorable partnership between Bentley and Breitling.

The collaboration between Breitling and Bentley is arguably the most recognizable union of an automaker and a watch brand in the 21st century. It began in 2002, when Breitling designed the onboard clock for the inaugural Bentley Continental GT, and continued through 2021.

The relationship is perhaps best known to watch enthusiasts for the long-running "Breitling for Bentley" collection—wristwatches distinguished by complicated designs, often featuring chronographs and even tourbillons.

Over the years, Breitling also created bespoke in-cabin clocks for select Bentley models. However, the Arnage T we’re highlighting here stands out as likely the only Bentley vehicle ever to receive a full “Bentley for Breitling” treatment.

It boasts a bespoke Breitling-themed interior, including branded headrests and burl wood veneer tray tables, and even a Breitling nameplate adorning the exterior.

When the Arnage T launched, it held the title of the world’s most powerful four-door sedan. Its 6.8L twin-turbo V8 engine delivered a formidable 493 bhp, propelling the 2.6-ton car from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds. Delivered to Breitling’s headquarters in Grenchen in November 2005, this Arnage T likely served as a showpiece, cementing the relationship through the pair's shared values of precision craftsmanship.

The car first hit the resale market in 2018, listed by a Zurich dealer for approximately USD $145,000 with 48,000 kilometers on the odometer. Fast-forward seven years, and it’s back on the market—this time priced at CHF 69,900 with 67,000 kilometers, offered by a dealership just south of Zurich.

While we have no affiliation with the current dealer, we couldn’t pass up the chance to showcase a fascinating car that combines automotive and horological history and celebrates a bygone part of the modern watch landscape.
