Expert’s Guide: Aurel Bacs Presents The Geneva Watch Auction: THREE
"We stick to the values and rules that we have established for ourselves - quality, rarity, beauty." Phillips’ Senior Consultant Aurel Bacs presents highlights from our next various owners collectors' watch auction in Geneva. Aurel guides us through highlights including a first generation Rolex GMT-Master, reference 6542 in 18 karat gold representing "the finest, best preserved, most complete example in the world"; a possibly unique stainless steel Patek Philippe, reference 530 with black dial and Breguet numerals, in absolutely mint condition "as humble and complete as can be"; an all-time superstar example of the iconic Patek Philippe reference 2499 that has never been at auction; an extremely rare Audemars Piguet, reference 5402 A-Series Royal Oak with Khanjar, the first luxury steel sports watch ever designed by any maker; and a previously unknown and exceptionally rare Vacheron & Constantin Chronomètre Royal, reference 4907, in white gold.
