LONDON – 1 APRIL 2015 – Phillips is pleased to announce highlights from the Under the Influence Sale at 30 Berkeley Square. The auction, which presents a selection of important and young artist’s will offer 189 lots, carrying a total pre-sale low estimate of £1.3 million / $1.9 million/ €1.8 million and a pre-sale high estimate of £1.9 million/$2.8 million/ €2.6 million.

“We are pleased to present a strong offering at our Berkeley Square space. Our highlights include Marc Quinn and his canvas painting Separation of Body and Soul from 2011 at £80,000 - 120,000, Frederick Vaerslev’s Untitled (Terrazzo) from 2011 at £60,000 – 80,000, Untitled from 2014 by Christian Rosa, New York, New York by Adam McEwen, Sarah Morris and her Midtown Madison Square Garden (Stairwell) painting from 1998, as well as stunning pieces by Julian Opie, Oscar Murillo, Jacob Kassay, David Ostrowski, Mark Flood and Israel Lund.

We are delighted to have Chris Succo, who we introduced to auction last February, gracing the catalogue’s cover, and to feature a basketball drawing by Jonas Wood, one of the most sought young after artists of today, on our back cover. Continuing to create access for young collectors and art lovers to much sought-after Contemporary Art, this season, Phillips is introducing to auction the young American Brooklyn-based figurative painter Jamian Juliano-Villani, and LA-based abstract painter Joe Reihsen.” – Tamila Kerimova, Head of Sale, Under The Influence.
