Phillips Announces Results from February Editions Auctions in London

PHILLIPS JANUARY EDITIONS AUCTION TOTALS £3.6 MILLION / $5 MILLION / € 4.7 MILLION

AUCTION SELLS 96% BY VALUE AND 89% BY LOT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LONDON – 22 January 2016 – Phillips Evening & Day Editions Auctions totalled £3,616,438 ($5,099,100 / €4,701,300) selling 96% by value and 89% by lot.

“Our very first auction of the year was a tremendous success, the Berkeley Square saleroom was the busiest ever for an Editions sale, and we saw strong interest from the US on the phone bank and competitive bidding from Chinese collectors. Blue chip names continued to be very widely supported along with emerging artists. A very positive start to the year.” Robert Kennan, Head of Modern and Contemporary Editions, London.
