FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
New York – 29 October 2014 – Phillips’ New York Edition auction produces strong results totaling $5,274,313/ €4,139,638/ £3,271,896 selling 86% by lot and 86% by value.

“Seven out of our top ten lots were record prices which illustrates the vibrancy of the prints and multiples market. Complete sets elicited some of the most enthusiasm as many private collectors were attracted to the ‘wall power’ effect these cohesive groups provide. The 10 day exhibition brought in 2,000 people and led to a crowded Evening salesroom. The Picasso ceramics market continues to be robust with strong prices coming from the US, Europe and South America. We look forward to our next Evening & Day Editions sale in London, January 2015 in our new Berkeley Square gallery” Kelly Troester, Worldwide Co-Director, Modern Editions and Cary Leibowitz, Worldwide Co-Director, Contemporary Editions, Phillips.
