“We are thrilled with tonight’s results, the highest total for a Phillips evening sale. We enjoyed participation from bidders from not only North America and Europe, but Asia and South America. The audience response tonight was especially buoyant for the new generation of artists making inroads in this market. We look forward to an exceptional London sale in July.” – August Uribe and David Georgiades, Co-Worldwide Heads of Contemporary Art, Phillips.

“Today’s results reflect the high caliber of works offered in this sale, with records set for 15 artists including David Ostrowski, Jeff Elrod, Mark Flood and Catherine Opie. There was lively participation in the room and on the phone banks, which reflects the current desire for emerging and seasoned contemporary artists.” – Amanda Stoffel, Head of Contemporary Art Day Sale, Phillips
