  • Catalogue Essay

On the occasion of the Crown Prince’s wedding, the Copenhagen Association of Crafts wanted to honour the Prince and Princess with a gift. Both the Prince and Princess expressed their desire to have a desk with many drawers. When presented at the Dorninggaard Salon in Moltke Mansion that same year, the desk was accompanied by the present model chair. The are two extant examples of the desk chair the present lot being offered and the above example in the Royal Collection.
